hobonichi weeks 2024

the hobonichi weeks was my weekly planner! this was the first year i had one, and it worked really well for me! i used the left side for events and tasks, as well as little notes for those days. the right side was where my trackers and tasks that don't have a specific day to be done lived. before this, i used to decorate pretty heavily, but i realized that was getting in the way of me actually utilizing my planner the way i needed to, so my weeks was kept very minimal.

moleskine pocket cahiers collection

the moleskine pocket was a semi-daily journal that went with me everywhere so i could write in it at any time! its size made it perfect for little doodles, thoughts, notes, and whatever else i wanted to include without feeling overwhelming like some bigger notebooks have.

i think i picked this one up at kinokuniya books. i loved it, but it came close to tearing the thin paper in my hobonichi weeks. it wrote really well though!

pilot g2 .38

the pilot g2 is my SECOND favorite pen of all time, and i started using it more frequently mid-2024, particularly for my moleskine pocket. it's easy to find, relatively inexpensive, and writes SO smoothly. truly an icon.

pentel slicci .28

the pentel slicci was my go to pen at this time. it writes so smoothly, and the tiny tip was perfect for writing in the small spaces of my hobonichi weeks. the only downside is that i had to order them online, and they're a little difficult to come by. i also used it in my moleskine, but preferred the pilot g2 and the staedtler pigment liner.

staedtler pigment liner .05

the staedtler pigment liner was a late-2024 purchase, but i really enjoyed it. the ink is very dark, and it creates a nice solid line. surprisingly, it doesn't bleed through even the tomoe river paper in the hobonichi weeks, but i mostly used it in my moleskin pocket.
